Arithmos appoints Sergio Scaccabarozzi as Scientific Director

As part of its strategic growth, the Life Sciences Technology and Regulatory company, headquartered in Verona (Italy), recruits Sergio Scaccabarozzi as Scientific Director

Arithmos, a PMH company, today announces the appointment of Sergio Scaccabarozzi to the role of Scientific Director for the company.

The Life Sciences Technology and Regulatory company has been on a whirlwind journey of change and growth over the past year and always focused on strengthening the value proposition for customers.

The new appointment is an integral part of Arithmos’ new sharpened strategic focus, initiated last year with the merger with its former sister company seQure, the acquisition of The CQA Company (in the United Kingdom) and, recently, with the appointment of Maurizio Giraudo as Managing Director of the new Business Consulting Unit and the opening of the new office headquarters in Verona, Italy.

With a medical degree and a specialization in general surgery from Università degli Studi in Milan, Sergio Scaccabarozzi has 35 years of experience in Clinical Research for global pharmaceutical and biotechnology companies.

In his professional life, Sergio spent 12 years as Head of Clinical Operations for the Italian affiliate of a big pharma and biotechnology company, managing a team of 90+ people and more than 220 studies from Phase I to Phase IV, RWE and providing support to institutions for Investigator initiated studies.

Sergio Scaccabarozzi enriched his professional experience by spending one year and a half as Operation Research Manager in one of the most important public research hospitals in Italy.

Sergio Scaccabarozzi is a member of scientific societies and working groups on Clinical Research, a recognized speaker at national and international events, with active editorial activities on Clinical Research and Life Science in general.

Arithmos looks to become a market leader in technology solutions and safety and regulatory services, and a trusted consulting partner in digital transformation and business growth with the aim to help Life Science companies to achieve their goals and expand their business.

Sergio Scaccabarozzi said: “I am very excited to join Arithmos in a period of huge transformations for Life Science both from a technological perspective (digital health, medicine therapeutics, AI, big data, metaverse applications) and regulatory, governance, and methodological perspective (regulations on Clinical Research, Medical Devices, IVDR, Decentralized Trials, international guidelines on technology applications).
All this requires a transformation for organizations, processes, culture and competencies, and a look-forward approach. This is where I hope to provide my contribution to Arithmos and to our customers to help reshape the Life Science environment.

Paolo Morelli, CEO and Founder of Arithmos, added: “I warmly welcome Sergio to Arithmos. Our team is excited to have Sergio on board and step into this leadership position. Arithmos has been on a whirlwind journey of change and growth over the past year, always focused on where we want to go, and that means strengthening the value proposition for our customers. Sergio’s career track record speaks for itself, and with his support, we are not only going to give our customers the right solutions to succeed, but to move together to the future.
